Just heard word that a faraway (but dear) friend added a few more letters to her name and officially became "Dr." yesterday. Oh happy news!

thanks, steenblogen! The day after, I was in a fog... lost, tired, thoughtful, hung over, wondering as I sat at my desk... now what??!! In the days that came after, I remembered what was said, what I did, the stupid jokes I made, the outfit I carefully picked out and on and on. And suddenly, it became much more real to me. Then, out of know where, I was proud.
